Cooling tower

Cooling water treatment

In many technical processes unused heat is created, such as in the case of data centers and power plants. The process heat must be dissipated to protect people, plants, and products from this heat energy. Evaporative cooling plants, also known as cooling towers, perform this function. As cooling water tends to thicken during evaporation due to the solution of salts and solid matter, and as it is a breeding ground for organisms (algae, pathogens), the water quality must be permanently monitored.
